On January 9, 2024, the Township Board adopted a resolution and ordinance to impose a moratorium regarding not issuing any permits, licenses, approvals, or the construction of commercial wind and solar energy projects from February 8 to November 28, 2024, in the Township. On December 12, the Township Board approved a resolution and ordinance for a video franchise agreement with Spectrum Mid-America LLC (part of Charter Communications) to serve parts of the Township for video, internet, phone, and related services. Resolution on Referendum Ballot Language
The Township Board on the 7-11-23 meeting adopted a resolution to approve the ballot language for the commercial solar energy amendments referendum that will go to the vote of the people in an election on November 7, 2023. Resolution on Solar and Wind Local Siting
This resolution is a protest of the pending State Legislature bills to remove local control of commercial wind and solar project applications and place them with the Michigan Public Service Commission. Zoning Ordinance Moratorium
The Township Board on the 7-11-23 meeting adopted a resolution and ordinance from the Planning Commission for a zoning ordinance amendment for a zoning moratorium for commercial wind and solar projects. Moratorium Extension
The Township Board has extended the commercial solar energy moratorium for the timing to get the referendum on an election and to tabulate the outcome of the vote. Extend Commercial Solar Moratorium

Solar Moratorium
The Township Board adopted on 10-11-22 a moratorium for 6 months to not accept any commercial solar energy project applications in the Township while ordinance amendments are being worked on by the Planning Commission.
